Epittha Freedom is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Sacramento, California, created to support pregnant teens and young mothers facing crisis, poverty, and instability. Founded by Lisa Jefferson and Jocelyn Wilson, two women driven by compassion and faith, our mission is to offer more than shelter—we offer transformation.
We believe that no young woman should have to walk through motherhood alone, especially when faced with overwhelming life challenges. Through our structured residential program, we provide a safe and nurturing home where young mothers can heal, learn, and grow.
To break the cycle of teen pregnancy and poverty by equipping at-risk young women with the tools they need to thrive—practically, emotionally, and spiritually. We help young mothers build stable, independent lives for themselves and their children, while discovering their worth and purpose.
We envision a future where every young woman has the opportunity to raise her child in a safe, loving environment—with access to education, employment, and a strong support system rooted in faith and community.
Lisa Jefferson started Epittha Freedom with a shared passion for serving vulnerable young women. Their vision was born out of lived experience, prayer, and a desire to see lives changed. What began as a calling has become a life-changing ministry for hundreds of women and children.
